Want to be stretched? Want to think outside the box? Not sure what you believe? Been told some things…you’re not quite sure you buy? Got Questions? Want to reflect on what’s really going on inside of you. Want to stretch your emotional capacity? Want to challenge yourself to go deep? This is the group for you.

The group so far has chosen to read a book together or watch a video together and then to reflect on it.

We generally:
share food together,
laugh a lot,
hold one another close as we share in life together.

The group is willing to take vulnerability seriously. Folks in this group want to grow as people, are comfortable challenging and stretching one another.

This group attracts people who are often done with the traditional model of church. They want the freedom to explore alternative ways of seeing Jesus and to explore other faiths and belief systems.

The group generally meets twice a month. Dates/times are determined by those involved. Group is currently exploring the book “Braiding Sweet Grass” as a springboard for conversation.

“We are Blank Slater’s because we are tired of church and are looking for a community where grace is lived out. A place where you can unashamedly come as you are and know you are loved by God and those in the fellowship. A place where you can question your beliefs and listen to others. A place to laugh and a place to cry. A place to be safe. A place to have a relationship with God.”

“I found Blank Slate by invitation of a friend as I was seeking a more accepting spiritual circle as I have recently joined the LGBTQ world as a partner of a transwoman. I am now part of a book/ video discussion group that is gloriously accepting, supportive and diverse in its spiritual/ religious or non religious backgrounds. We share, we talk and we listen. We lean in. Come join us!”

“This cathedral of the trees and water helps me better understand the calm serenity of the Holy Spirit that I can share with other seekers in our small group.”
